Does CP 1.70 include every previous patch?
Does CP 1.70 contain all previous Patches?
Yes. It contains both all patches from Piranha Bytes (up to and including patch 1.12) as well as all Community Patches.------ There are only a few exceptions, namely some changes from older CPs, which based on request from many gamers have been removed from the fix package. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Ausnahmen, nämlich einige Änderungen früherer CPs, die auf Wunsch vieler Spieler wieder aus den Fix-Paketen entfernt wurden. The items meant here are: |

During installation: "Gothic 3 could not be found, installation will be terminated"
During installation of the community patch I receive the error message "Gothic 3 could not be found, installation will be terminated", even though G3 is installed.
The installer checks with the aid of the entries in the Windows registry if G3 is installed.
When the installer does not find a valid Gothic 3 installation, the option exists to find the installation path manually. For that: |

During installation: "Wrong language setting"
During installation of the community patch I receive the error "Wrong language version".
The installer checks which language version of Gothic 3 is installed according to the file "ge3.ini", so that the correct text files will be installed. If the ge3.ini cannot be read correctly, this message will appear.Solution: Copy the file "ge3.ini" from the DVD (Directory: "Gothic III") into the folder "Ini" of the installation directory. Warning: An incompatible ini-file could also be an indication for out of order changes to the installation. Therefore it is advised to reinstall Gothic 3 again. |

Why can Num Lock suddenly not be turned off anymore, and how do I change this?
After the installation of the community patch Num-Lock suddenly cannot be turned off anymore, while this functioned before.
From community patch v1.5 on the entry "Input.DisableForceNumLock=false" in the ge3.ini was selected automatically. If you previously had overwritten this value manually with "true" in the ge3.ini, for example as a laptop user to be able to turn off Num Lock and be able to use all the keys during the game, the value will be overwritten again by the installer with the value "false".Solution: Change the value after "Input.DisableForceNumLock=" again from "false" to "true". The automatic entry of this parameter should make it easier for laptop users to turn off Num Lock. The existence of such an entry is now clearly visible for everyone by looking through the ge3.ini and possible positioning errors by manually inserting this entry in the ge3.ini are now excluded. Which changes are contained in the patch?
Which changes are contained in the patch?
[indent]Accompanying the patch are two Readmes, in which all changes are written. ![]() These Readmes are named "CP_Changelog_en.txt" (with all changes of the Community patches) and Changelog-112.txt (with all collected changes by Piranha Bytes, that is up to December 2006). The community patch changelog can also be found here as attachment. Changelog English Last edited by Nameless2 : 22-03-2009 at 17:08 |
