Yep, there is even a suprise, hidden in the settings options as I found out

btw, how can you reach the console since hitting ~ doesn't seen to work?

Did you activate marvin mode?

The testmode has been disabled by default now. You may enable it by changing the setting "Testmode=false" to "true" in the ge3.ini or just type "marvin" during the game (needs to be done quite fast, no longer pauses between the letters). Then you should be able to use the console.

Just go to the options menu - details - last entry of post processing.

I entered the game, didn't notice much improvement at first. But there's less stuttering now, although after I died, and loaded it worked like .. crap. I'm gonna defragment, hope it gets better. Anyway good job guys.

I remember having a few crashes over the entire game when i first played it. Now, when my video card allows me to raise up the details, it always stutters, it's unplayable. I guess the only things that the patch really did was fix the crashes. I still can't play it
