Gothic 3 Patch 1.6 released

To be honest the patch doesn't add too much of a performance boost, maybe I should defrag my disk. Now I'm playing Gothic 2 Gold (I ended Gothic 2 vanilla twice), and it's far a better game than Gothic 3.

I have a small problem. Gorn is not inprisoned in the house near Gotha because he still sits on a bench in Reddock

One other thing in Faring. When I have the quest "Booze for Mojok" and I go and get the Nordmar Nogginfog booze from Tippler and I want to give it to Mojok, he doesn't want it. I then went in to the castle and Mitch gave me a bottle of Nordmar Nogginfog booze and I then returned to Mojok and guess what, he would take and I finished the quest. Very strange because when you don't have enough rep to go in to the castle then you also can't finish the "Booze for Mojok" quest.

Because you need two bottles.

i can run the game in cartoon graphics or post processing turned off but i wanna use patch 1,5 and higher.

That doesn't have anything with patch actually.It also happened before patches.Also with different characters(Milten didn't come to Monastery from ardea)

Afaik there is nothing you can do,except starting new game,but this isn't big problem that requires starting new game.

You could only try reloading,but you probably have done that already.

Who can help me? When I played Gothic 3 with cmpatch 1.52 I got crashes, but not to often only after playing a min of about an 1/2 hour and after loading. But now I installed 1.6 and after loading the very fist time it just crashed in game after 4 minutes. Then I reinstalled Gothic 3 + patches but still same problem. My options are like this:

Give me a break, but this 'known problem' from my experiments was INTRODUCED with patch 1.5 or 1.6 (my game never crashes on 1.12 version with max texture settings). Either way, texture manager (whole resource manager imho) needs rewriting badly to make game enjoyable - there's virtually NO PC here to handle it with no stuttering at all. I'm really curious what computer was used on E3 to show Gothic 3 and what computers were there in PB developers' studio to make them feel 'it will run fast enough'. It's sad that PB left their game with such bad shape, I cant blame Community Patch Team/Spellbound for not making miracles.

To be honest I have never found Gothic 3 quests too buggy (to render game unplayable) and I always tried to solve all of them (quests that is). If anything really pi**ed me about Gothic 3, that would be technical side of it - only.

And as someone said earlier, I'm also not going to buy Gothic 4 unless Gothic 3 is finished (sic!). If it's not possible for Jowood/CPT/Spellbound to fix it enough, opening some parts of code (those not covered by NDA) would be the solution. If it's not an option - Gothic 3 would be plain dead (like ATI is dying with their crappy drivers, especially Linux drivers - when the only *really*stable*drivers* are those OpenSource - radeonhd - as AMD developers are simply unable to make fglrx work like nvidia are for example).

i just start yo play Gothic 3 but not on good pc i find 1 bug i think wen i get the quest to kill the shy dear wen i found the dear i pres Sneak or CTRL mine camera Transfer to the dear and i cant to anything to get camera to me is this bug or ?

I read that most of the bugs will be fixed only when i start a new game,and in all this time i played my saves games XD
Now,i don't have any crashes of some sort(i played till the defeat of the orcs in ardea and the arrived in Reddock),also it seems that my graphic increase a lot°°
i play G3 with:
nvidia geforce7300 gt
1,00 gb ram
pentium4 3,0 ghz
ecc....
I continue play it,maybe some bugs will appear sooner or later(i hope not of course )

this would fit in the techsupport section, but i think that on quad core would run better but still on dual core you can run the game too and with 1.6 patch you are ready to rock
so you have to decide it on your own.

The patch worked for me.. and it really did what it should do..improve G3, lesser bugs and especially the "where is the guru" thing that kept disturbing me..
