Unofficial Community Patch v1.2 released !
Dear Community !
Seems like there is no day without a new bugfix package. Download Readme and Changelist (only in German available). This patch solves not less than 48 bugs ! Furthermore it can be called a patch since the bugfixers were able to coordinate the P01-files and no fix should get corrupted by another. There is a fully working install routine with this patch, which will get installed automatically to your Gothic-directory. The language is still only German, but most of these fixes perfectly work with another language version of the game as well, but there definately seem to be problems with the Polish and Russian version ! Another great job so far !  Attention! Your ge3.ini file will be replaced by the german one. Before you install the patch please save your ge3.ini. It was a fault of one the new fix-team. I must to say sorry. Who has already installed the patch should be done this: You must change in your INI in the follow lines the word "German" in to "English". Voice.Entry_0=German Subtitle.Entry_0=German Text=German Audio=German An international version will be released perhaps with version 1.3 of the fan patch. Sounds great! And does this patch fix the waterfall sound? If so, the author has my utmost respect.

Please take attention to this:

too late, now i have broken g3. apart from ge3.ini i dont have any text in game. starting menu is blank.
it would be nice to know which files are added and replaced. now i dont know if i can fix my fixed g3 or have to install it again

I have got an answer now:

i did it manually right after first post, didnt help. actually i have polish version so i replaced "german" with "polish". still starting menu is blank. is there any way to manually unistall this fix? which files were added? original g3 files are replaced?

Your blank menu comes only from the changed INI file. Not from the other files. But you will find them in the folder "Gothic III\Data". The newest files (I believe "Infos.pxx", "Project_compiled.pxx") are the files of the patch. (xx = number of this file). |

ok as i said before, changing ini file doesnt help. i tried with infos and projects_compiled files.
here`s the situation: infos present in data folder- no error no matter if projects are also in there projects_compiled.p00 in data folder- no error projects_compiled.p01 in data folder- no error projects_compiled.p00 + projects_compiled.p01 both present in data folder= blank menu error additional info- g3 v1.12 polish, unofficial patch v1.0 work without problems, even dialogue when learning fire mage perk is polish! didnt have time to check fritjhof and improve armor. btw you fixed ability to learn these perks but actually do improve armor work?
