Community Patch v1.5 - Work progress

Hi

I'm the endless Gothic fan. My plan is to play the whole trylogy once again, carefully, slow and step by step immediately after the newest GIII patch is released, so I'll get much more fun! Yes... I know that here already are the several same topics as this one, but I'd like to ask you for details. I think it's nothing to hide from the fans. I appreciate your hard work on the CP and thank you for all you doing! Let's back to what I want to know:

- what's the progress of the forthcoming patch?
- when (month) we could most probably expect it?
- is it going to change the game engine anyhow?
- are you already working with the SB?
- any other known changes than those listed in the another CP 1.5 topic?
- do you have any problems, difficults in making it (CP 1.5)? What are they due to?

I'm waiting for your response and once again Thank you!

P.S.
So sorry for my poor english but I'm working on it

There was an announcement in the german board on Oct. 9th. I'm not sure if it has been translated yet, so I'll have a try. Here we go:
---------------------------

1. During the next three or four weeks the new Community Patch will be released. It will only contain gameplay fixes. Performance or balancing issues have not been changed.

2. There have been some changes in the team. Some passive members left the team. But we welcomed a graphic artist among us, Arthus of Kap Dun.

3. After all we know now, and in respect of the material on hand, the Community Patch Team will not produce a Mod-Kit.
We would have to write big parts from scratch. This effort would be far too high. And the risk that a Mod-Kit won't work at all in the end is too high. Even with support and help by Spellbound.

We're sorry for the modders in the Community, but we have to face the facts.

--------------------------------

One day later another announcement:

After the forthcoming CP, Spellbound and the Community Patch Team will try to release a patch together. We don't want to raise high expectations, because at the moment neither Spellbound nor the Patch Team know how successful we will be in fixing the things we have on our agenda. So we can't publish what we weill try to fix.

THat's still the status quo

One addition: We're currently in the (hopefully ) last steps of testing the patch. Again more than 120 changes have been made.

I know you said that 1.5 will have a clock.
Do you did mean like this:

A clock on the upper left corner of the screen, or like in G1/2 somewhere in the stats screen?

Because I'd prefer not to have a clock on the screen just like that - I'd prefer it G1/2 style.

Thank you very much for the info! I'm really surprised of those 120 fixes, can't wait to finally play the almost bugfree Gothic 3 , it took very long time since it was released but now... only gaming!

Community Patch Team - you guys are the greatest! Keep doing a wonderful job!

The clock will be part of the mission log (quest log) screen.

BTW what's the graphic artist doing?

Also is it possible to add the ability of dropping an item from your inventory?

You don't like putting unwanted stuff in chests?

No dropping! It was too much mess in oblivion..
If we should be able to drop items, we should hava reason to drop them (meaning a maximum carrying weight, like in oblivion) Nothing wrong there, but whenever i found a nice weapon, i had to drop another, and had to go back and search for it on the ground later, and......too messy really.

No, we didn't change anything there.
