Broken patch

The orignal version of he game was locking up very frequently, so I checked for patches & downloaded & installed 1.05e.

Now it just says "Wrong Disk Inserted", so I assume that you broke the CD-ROM check.

My hardware is
M/B Abit KG7 - with latest bios patch
CPU Athlon 1.4Ghz
Memory 512Mb PC2100
Video nVidia Geforce2 MX400 64Mb
HD Maxtor 40Gb 7200RPM
CD Hitachi 1212 DVD
CD Panasonic CW7585 CDRW
Audio SB Live! Value
Nic Netgear FA311 10/100 Ethernet
K/B Microsoft Natural Keyboard
Mouse Mircosoft Optical Intellimouse Explorer
O/S Windows 2000 Pro SP2
DirectX 8.1

All patches and drivers are upto date, & I do not have any problems with any other game.
e.g. Return to Caslte Wolfenstein, Empire Earth, Red Alert - Yuris Revenge, & Stronghold are all running without problem...

Has anybody got any ideas how to get around this?

Redownload v1.05e again, the patch was exchanged. :)

Yes OOPS!!!

Now fix the rest of the bugs & the translation!

The new patch has fixed the CD check, but still locks up frequently!

When is JoWood going to respond to any tech support e-mail, & produce a patch that does not randomly lock up, exit the program, or leave sprites on the screen?

I now have tried the 'wand of death' but all it does is change the cursor & leave copies of it's sprite in random locations on the toolbar.
