System:
Asus A7A266 - BIOS 1009
Ali AGP 1.81 Driver
AMD T-Bird 1.2ghz
256Mb PC2100 DDR Ram
Hercules Game Theater XP - Driver 3.02
Gainward GeForce3 Ti 200 64Mb DDR - Det. 23.11
DirectX 8.1
Winblows XP Professional - Fully Updated
Intellipoint Explorer Mouse
Linksys Etherfast 10/100
Maxtor 20Gb ATA100 - 7200RPM
I do not overclock this system at all.
Tried:
Patched Gorasul
Swap File to 768-1024
Compatability Modes: 98/ME, NTsp5, 2000
Lock-ups vary from desktop drops to soft locks (ctrl-alt-del works) to hard locks (nothing works). Random places.
This is the only game Im experiencing trouble with. I currently play: Operation Flashpoint, Ghost Recon, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Half-Life (all mods), Gothic, Pool of Radiance: RTMD, I could go on... All without any trouble.
I also moderate forums for a few games, helping people figure out whats wrong with their systems. I am A+ Certified, and a MCSE. Unless there is some tewak for XP-P, or the game isn't compatable with XP-P, Im stumped.
My opinion: Its the game, or possibly the Game Theater XP.. But, since other games work fine, I would tend to believe its the game.
Game looks great, BTW...
